Your Dr is correct! You may not feel that you are stressed but in actual fact may be very stressed. You are obviously anxious about getting pregnant. So, my advice would be to forget about getting pregnant altogether (easier said than done). Put your mind to something else and let nature takes it;s course. By the way, when you do become pregnant, you will need regular monitoring by your Dr due to your diabetes. Diabetics generally have very large babies.

If you are diabetic and of reproductive age...yes it can absolutely impact your fertility....Why are you diabetic? There is a condition known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome that greatly increases your chances of being diabetic...but also means you may ovulate infrequently or not at all...making pregnancy very difficult....Many women with this syndrome are very over-weight, may have extra hair growth (known as hirsuitism), and very sporadic periods. If you go to the gynecologist they may be able to help you...a drug used to control diabetes called metformin may actually help your diabetes AND help your infertility...there is a lot that can help you...but you must make a comittment toward lifestyle changes...lose weight if you are overweight...follow your diabetic diet faithfully..and get regular exercise...One of the best treatments for PCOS is weight loss...some women have spontaneous return of fertility with just that...simply taking Metformin could make your fertility return as well. Good luck...no simple solution...

erratic blood sugars and erratic menstrual cycles, of course the diabetes is the problem. You need to get your own life under control before you try bringing a new life into the world.

Try to relax and enjoy life. I waited 7yrs for my first son to come along and that only happened because I decided to foster children and give up on one of my own.Diabetes should not stop you getting pregnant but you will need to take extra care of yourself when you are .Good luck.
