There is a new house that has very recently been built, but the house is still empty only the walls are up. I absolutly love the house and want to try to get the plans for it but I'm not sure where to get those at. Next time I drive by I will look for the sign that tells what company built it. My uncle knows the guy who is putting in cabnets for this new house and I was wondering if it was possible for this guy to get with the company who built it and get the plans for it, I don't need those huge plans for the owners of the house just small ones on printer paper or whatever. Also do you know of any websites I can go to to get the plans, because they are public records, aren't they? Any info you have about how to get the plans please let me know. Can I get them at the library? Is that possible?
Thanks--

If you can track down the builder, they might be willing to provide the plans at a cost, or they might not. If you just want the room layout and not the architectural drawings, if it's in a housing development sometimes the development office will have info to give out on the overall room layouts.

No, floor plans are not public record, and you can't get them for just any house at the library, although the library might have a book of possible floor plans.

They aren't public records but you could ask the new owner or the builder for a drawing.
