Divide and conquer is Satan's favorite way to destroy a people.
it doesn't help that White people appear to show favoritism, and prefer to put the bi-racial people on TV, just like on the plantation, where the light skinned Blacks were working in the house, and the dark skinned pure Blacks were working in the field.
Everybody needs a wake up call.

We are moving into different time’s world wide and this street attitude is becoming obsolete. It’s a slow process but it is happening. The street is the last place to take a reality check. So don’t fret. Mary Magdalene was a loving dark skinned woman even though modern Christians don’t want to go there. So the last person to be worried about this should be yourself you are spiritually free good luck.

I completely understand what you mean--I am white and am constantly accused of not liking black people because I don't think it right that ANY race get well fare if they don't need it or any of those like that.I have black friends I'm not against black people at all but a lot of times, especially in FL where I live black people can't get fired, can't get turned down for wellfare, and get an easier test for jobs because there black if these things do happen they say it's because the people who work there are racist! What's that all about. Thsi guy that worked at my dad's job had been working there for 30 years and he was black and a drunk but they couldn't fire him because he threatened to take them to court if they fired him because they were being racist! They also say that the reason so many black people are in jail is because the government doesnt' arrest white people--that's totally not true! I wish we could all just get along and not have to worry about the color of skin or where we are from. And I'm not saying that black people are the only ones that act this way because white people do it too but its more common in black people. And I know it must be really hard on the self worth black people because they get a bad wrap because of the useless ones. They are blaming us for things our ancestors did at least a hundred years ago! I think it's time to accept and move on, forgive and forget-- There should be no dividing factors like you said. I'm a very big fan of Martin Luther King jr because he was very right, blacks and whites shouldn't be seperated and we should all love one another as we love ourselves and live in the present-
I am proud that you would ask this question instead of jumping to conclusion like a lot of other people about race and sterio types!

It also applies to white people with red hair, and a heavy person in a group of skinny people, if you do not conform to the majority you are the minority, human nature prevents us from unifing, we are just lemmings following eachother, and following the accepted majority, there are too many people out there who canoot think on their own, it is very sad however it will never change.

It's the way ppl are brought up you know the environment they grew up in. Im just 16 and i believe in unity but come to my school where every other week "light skinned ppl are out, and dark skinned are in" or "if you talk proper you think you're white" it's ridiculous, but i just ignore it and try to live my life according to how i was brought up. People don't want change for some reason they'd rather stay divided than change who they are for someone

I think you are referring to dark/light skinned women. That's what the beef is all about. Some think that light skinned women have an advantage because of looks, hair, eyes, and other things. They have an advantage in the job market, in movies and in television. While the advantages in jobs and tv and movies are not bias on my part, it is true. You rarely see a dark skinned woman in movies and tv. This trend seems that it will continue for years to come. While I don't understand it either, I don't have a beef, although all of my girlfriends have been light skinned. Could just be a coincidence. I'm light skinned myself, and I am more than happy with it.

Hayzyoleh sistah,
I'll tell you what this light skin and dark skin thing is about.Have you ever heard of a european slave owner in the carribean by the name of willie lynch? well willie lynch had a system going that kept his slaves under control where they would never turn on him but instead themselves. Now the slave owners in Virginia heard about his system and how it was proven to be fruitful so they wanted to learn his techniques on taming the "untame horse"(afrikan slaves). So they sent for him to come to virginia to teach them the system. This was part of willie lynch testimony: make them turn against each other that way they would love their masters and hate self.turn the dark skin slave against the light skin slave, the young against the old, tall against short ect.right now what we are witnessing today is a direct link to the willie lynch plan.In fact his name is where the term lynching came from!
For the exact plan of willie lynch look up the willie lynch plan on your computers...

I've never understood this myself. You would think that as a race that has experienced all forms of prejudice, bigotry, discrimination and intolerance that you would all pull together as one. There is derision and contempt based on the degree of color within your race ... instead of seeing each other as people of the same color.
I understand it's based on a form of caste system that views lighter skinned blacks (usually house servants) as more desirable than darker skinned (field hands). It has been passed down from the time of slavery. How can african americans continue to allow this to divide them?
It's this type of thing that keeps us apart as a people...

College Girly Girl,
At the risk of sounding redundant, after 400 years of oppression and abuse coupled with brainwashing , and the human intellect's susceptibility to absorb bullshit, it is all summed up to this simple statement: "Black" people simply HATE themselves. We cannot seem to tolerate one another because we dislike ourselves. We are very disrespectful to one another. For example, as entertainers we belittle and degrade ourselves for a smile and a dollar from a "White" man. We are the only "race" that I am aware of that utilizes a derogatory label that was imposed upon us, towards each other (the N - word). We are the only race I know that walks around calling our babies "ugly". We are truly a CATASTROPHE. We truly think we are ugly. The Light skin/Dark Skin issue are ideas from slavery, of course. Some Lighter skin people are conditioned into believing that they are superior to darker skinned people just as whites were believed to be superior to black. Blacks look for acceptance from whites. What is sad is that deep toned people of other cultures have similar problems, but cause of an imposed ideology.I could go on , but I would be here until next week.
As a model for self-love I observe white people. It appears that no matter what their condition may be(physical or otherwise), they deem themselves as attractive or potentially attractive. Whites like themselves and enjoy looking at themselves. They are comfortable as long as someone that "looks like" them is present. Once, I dated a working class white male. I inadvertently performed a Doll Test on him on our date by presenting to him, my doll collection. Some of my dolls are deep toned and others are lighter toned. He immediately picked up my lightest toned doll in efforts to identify with her, since most of all my other dolls are deeper toned, or have curly hair (which he wasn't fond of). Generally, white people detest things in which they don't identify with physically first, then socially(this applies to humans in general, as well). Just as the young lady made her ignorant comment about getting to know black people, but she detests the way in which some of us style our hair and manicure our nails. She fears what she is ignorant to , but thinks she is superior so, blacks should conform to what she finds attractive. There are more instances. If you care to listen, Miss College, I will return.
Thank You

Hahahaha! I love it... Wait.. you know try being white... Unless you are white and rich, white people don't stick together at all.. Heck... I don't even know my neighbors... I remember in school if a white guy got in a fight with a hispanic or black guy there were all sorts of cuzez or homeys backin him up... but the white people.. hell it was rare to see any there to back up... maybe 1 or 2...... hey, I'm just saying.
but to answer your question... I think its just human nature not to connect with people who are different anyways... even by shades of skin. Its a shame...
