Douching, pronounced:[doo-shing] is where the vagina is swabbed or flushed out with water. It was a common practise among women many years ago, before the pill. They did this in the hope of not becoming pregnant or to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. We now know of course that douching prevents neither!!!! Some women still do it for purely hygenic reasons but it is unnessary.

It is a method of cleansing out the vagina... It is not by any means something you should worry about because you DON'T have to do it! Go ahead and ask your mom about it, it isn't a big deal. If you do decide to try it (I'm 28 and never have) - just remember that doing it too much can be bad for you. If you are that uncomfortable asking your mom stuff like this, try your doctor or school nurse.

Don't worry so much, I didn't know what it was, but I looked it up. It means to clean the vagina with fluids or soaking it. Most women do it to clean it after their periods or rid of odors, ect. It's not recommended but it's not uncommon.

Hope it helps! :)
