What a great idea. All politicians should be required to fund BS with their own dollars. I bet they would be more mindful of budgets & spending limits.

If I spend money I don't have (over $250) - it's called grand larceny ~~ a felony.

Politicans do it - it's called the national debt. How can I get in on all the cool perks - sans the accountability?

I'm sure he'll fund the war himself, just as soon as Pelosi and Reid national health care, and fund the difference in his SCHIP proposal and their proposal ($30,000,000,000).
News flash, Congress can stop funding the war at any time it wants to, but they won't because then (if they stop funding the war) they can't blame the defeat on Bush.

It's our war, like it or not but it is our men and women fighting and as long as OUR soldiers are in a fight then everyone should do their part and I love that if you libs work that 4% of your tax dollars pays OUR armed forces. If you don't believe they are OUR soldiers then you really should leave this country and pay French taxes but I think even 1% of thier tax goes to thier armed forces. Here is a deal let 100% of my taxes go to the military and you can have 100% of yours go to some other worthy goverment program, like birth control for 11 year olds and clean needles for drug users.

Because this war was started so that President Bush & his friends could make money, not spend money! Why should anything come out of their pocket when they have us footing the bill for them! A President, while in office, must not have any investments with companies doing business with the government However, I'll bet there will be one big pay off when he leaves office. Oh, it won't be anything that will be proved in law but, it will be there!

Because he can't make money that way.

Bush is in the war business to make money for him and his friends.

But he wants to conduct the war with your money, so he can gain access to the oil.

Because we need all the money we can spend to protect the soldiers over there- not send them off for about $10 each.

If your house is on fire would you pay the fireman out of your own pocket? I’m glad I’m not your neighbor because I sure wouldn’t want to spend my property taxes sending your kids to school. I HAVE NO LITTLE CHILDREN. Same thing

Why? He had Hillary and the rest of congress fund the war.
Better question:
Why doesn't Pelosi fund expansion of SCHIP out of her own pocket?

Congress funds wars, not the President.

He became president to steal a quarter of the country,
then to have enough money to fund Dick Cheney's war -
Halliburton central was centralized to Kuwait, remember.
