Honestly, it never happened to me al7amdulilah! lol i7qidy 3ala di kaman yalla! hehehe

I think writing anything RELATED to the subject is a better choice rather than leaving the paper blank or rambling on about non related topics.

When I correct papers I don't read the stuff that is not related because, believe it or not, I have seen papers with jokes and songs written! If the topic is related I try to find anything relevant for which to give at least a minimum grade instead of a zero.

i too have the same problem..i usually black out when i see i don't have much time left, my hands start trembling, i start sweating, etc.etc.and i'm still only in high school(can'timagine college!)..i've heard various breathing exercises and good amounts of sleep help to AVOID this.food to plays an important role.of course, when you're staring blank into the paper none of this helps..Just close your eyes, take a deep breath, say a little prayer sincerely, try to remember atleast something your professer had said,or you read somewhere or you overheard someone saying..so long as they don't deduct marks from the original for wrong answers, try as best as possible to write anything, and take care not to leave the space blank..also, it might help if the answer seems to imply that the student is confident about the answer, and the professer could even overlook a few mistakes..

First I will try to write something & if I couldn't remeber anything, I will leave the paper blank & may leave the exam at the half time as there is no reason to waste my time if I couldn't write anything, in fact I did it while I was in first year of my faculty.
I was calm in the biginig after that but since I reached home I started t cry:(((((((

When i was student
i managed to finish my faculty of trade HILL-wan university after 7 years
I remember this situation well
I stay calm with monaliza smile
spend half the time giving short answers
the second half I usually write nice poems and novels ( at the back of question papers not at answers papers )

of my own experience
it was a final exam and 2 questions.
the first i can answer but not 100% ,there is nothing called 100% in such exams i had then.
the other one i never heared of
i have your thoughts but then ,what is exam for a high degree, what it meant to measure,my ability to manupolate, the background, litriture i studied,so simply on the top of the page i crossed the examiner question and put one to show the mentioned skills
(no exaduration)later i was called by the head of department,i got highest marks

well..it never happened to me... but if i can't answer a single question, there must be something wrong...either with me or with the exam itself.
i think i would just try to calm down so that i can think clearly ..ask god for help...maybe something would come to my mind then....like an inspiration or something ..hehe.
if that doesn't work , then i would just leave....i don't like writing answers for questions that don't exist..
Then i would try to forget about the exam completely ...have some fun...there're many exams in life..why should i care too much about one of them only?
btw, i 'm having an exam tomorrow morning ....that's a very good sign :-)

If you can't answer anything, you can't answer anything. DO NOT write stuff that is unrelated to the question at hand on the answer sheet. That's even worse than not knowing the answer. It tells the examiner that you don't know the answer and that you think you do. very bad impression. although you can't get worse than a zero.

the point is, what do you do to avoid this situation again?? what??

I would write few words to the subject instructor telling him honestly why I couldn't answer . That would leave better impression than writing non-sense.
