Who do you wish more people would ask questions about? I've never seen a question about Uriah Heep, though I know they've been asked (just not many of them). Never seen one about the Replacements or Nick Drake either...or Love and Rockets, J.J. Cale or even Iggy Pop and quite a few others. I must just be missing them...

TMLeaf Fan...really? I see Stones questions all the time. Dire Straits as well (though, not as often).

Sarah c...I never realized people didn't ask Blackfield questions. I looked them up on the yahoo answers search and there were only 3 questions...2 of them were yours.

34 Satellite is very obscure, so that's understandable (the only way I could get a CD of theirs was eBay)...but it'd still be nice to see a question! I'll ask one...

The Kinks are a rather successful band to draw so few questions, if any, I never see them. Joe Strummer is also a very interesting person to get so few mentions. The Yardbirds I never see mentioned, and if so, it'll probably be in reference to one of their guitarists famous later groups/solo careers. The Velvet Underground get some questions but not enough, I also agree with the answerer that said the Stooges and the question-er who mentioned Iggy Pop. The entire original wave of glam rock bands get surprisingly few questions, excepting David Bowie (mainly T.Rex, New York Dolls, Slade, Sweet etc.). A few questions on Roky Erickson or Richard Hell would be well warranted. Or garage rock, the second best rock era which is criminally underepresented as well as their psychedelic brothers. And maybe Johnny Thunders?

And classic punk is under mentioned, the Germs and Eater should both be more infamous than MCR to name but two.

There was a question a good while ago asking opinions on which Let It Be album was better, The Beatles or The Replacements (I prefer The 'Mats) and one a couple of weeks ago on Iggy's best three songs. I even saw one on The Butthole Surfer's Locust Abortion Technician album. But the one band I have never seen a question is Spaceman 3 which surprises me because of their impact on the modern psychedelic/ drone scene. I've see answers involving Spiritualized but unfortunately nothing on the Spacemen.

Also, I've never seen a The Jesus Lizard question or anything to do with Steve Albini's creations (Big Black, Rapeman, Shellac). All those bands f'ing ruled.

Sookie: All great choices. I met the members of Hammerbox down in Houston years ago and talked with them for about 30 minutes after their gig with Sloan. Great people and they gave me a free shirt shirt. Jawbox was another good show, jumped the barrier (they had a wall between the crowd and the stage) and took a seat right in front of the stage with some friends. Man, those guys (and girl) were impressive live.

Wow, question on The Vaselines? That is a rarity

Sloan played here in Portland about 5 or 6 months ago but I have no clue if they are turning out records on a continual basis.

Also, there are no questions on Uncle Tupelo either.

Never mind, Dave answered the Sloan question. Thanks!!

Agreed on Roky as well. I missed him in concert last month up in Portland since I was out of town. Absolutely pissed me off. I know it would not be the same as his days around the UT campus but it would have been sweet to see a legend like that nonetheless.

Yes, it's amazing that Nick Drake, J.J. Cale and Iggy Pop are off the radar (at the expense of MCR, FOB and PATD...oh, the irony, the irony...)

There have been a couple of Uriah Heep questions, but not many.

I was amazed to see a passing reference to The Vaselines here the other day - almost forgotten, but not quite : )

I've never seen a question about Flesh Field, Mindless Faith, or Psychotica.
Only seen a couple about Apoptygma Berzerk and one for Love Spirals Downwards, but I didn't see any of them while they were open for answers.

I've seen several questions about Love and Rockets and The Replacements though. So I guess you are just missing them. :)

Blackfield- Actually there was one, but it was asked by me, so I'm not so sure it counts.
34 Satellite- The kind of sound like Tom petty and the Wallflowers, but I've yet to hear anyone but me mention them here.
Van de Graaff Generator- you aked the only question I stubbled across about them
Marillion- stumbled on a question mentioning them once, but only once
No Man- Yet to see a question about them.

*edit
haha... almost forgot, The Wallflowers, I mentioned them, but didn't realize that I've yet to see a question about them that I didn't ask

*edit
Isis, you never cease to amaze me. 34 Satellite too! Well, I just did a Y!A seach of 34 Satellite and the only results were 2, and both of them were mine (not direct questions, just mentions). I also just came to the realization that I ask alot of questions.....

The Stooges. They're a great band, but I rarely see them on here. The only time I saw them mentioned was in some favorites question.

Jimi Hendrix as well. I've seen him in many answers, but little questions.
