Weight gain is listed as a possible side effect of all hormonal birth control. If you do gain weight- it's usually only 5-10 pounds. You are not going to go from a size 6 to a 22 because of the birth control pill.

And lets fact it - 5 lbs on the hips from BC is a lot less weight than you would gain from an unplanned pregnancy because you were not on the pill!

They have weight gain listed as a side effect, but that DOES NOT MEAN that you WILL gain weight. Think of all the side effects listed on, say, a bottle of aspirin--you don't get those, do you?
If you gain weight on 1 type of birth control you can switch to another until you find one that won't make you gain weight.

Not true.

I have been on the pill for 14 years and they have never made me gain weight. I have LOST weight on them.
