Well.... in short your question capsulizes why the Republicans lost so much ground in the last election. They need to get back to Conservative ideas and stick to em...
Warm regards,

As several others have pointed out, these criminals in office are not conservatives by any meaning of the word. They are corporatists. They care only about money for themselves and their friends. The war--and indeed their entire administration--has been about redistributing wealth from the middle and upper middle classes to the very rich.
The issues that they spoke about in order to get elected were just wedge issues to keep uninformed Americans emotional, scared and angry so that they wouldn't notice that these guys were sneaking out the back door with all our money.
The sad part is that they convinced people to vote against their own economic and political interests with the spectre of maurading bands of gay people running through their neighborhoods, stealing their guns and bibles and forcing them to have abortions.

I voted Republican because the President was and still is the best man for the job. I voted for the Republican congress because they did a better job than this one is doing, even if they didn't fix the world. This congress is doing nothing but spending money on lame investigations about nothing.

You may recall, 911, 2 wars, a recession, Charley, Ivan, Frances, Jeanne, Isabel, Katrina, & Rita. The levee's failing. Rebuilding our Military that was destroyed by Clinton. I thank the lord every single day we have a Republican in office. At least these things were addressed.

Simply put, these items you mention were never on their agenda! They had one goal in mind, making money! What better way than to wage war & have those losers, who don't have money or friends in high places, fight & die so that they can become more wealthy! Most people in our government come from wealth, unearned wealth, they have more money than they can ever spend if they lived two life times but, it isn't enough for them, they need more! We let them have it by our votes, our votes follow the money! From the way things look we are going to do it again, vote for the candidate with the most money!

because War is a faster way to get rich and loot the federal reserve (and the American taxpayer)
Although Bush says he is a conservative, I see no relation to his actions and the GOP ... he has hijacked the party and ruined its reputation, but I can't say the dems are any better

They didn't totally solve those problems, but they stopped the Democrats from making it worse and worse.
Has your Democratic Congress, who promised to fix everything Bush and the Republicans did, changed absolutely anything about Iraq?
