There are a lot of Blood Elf paladins. Mostly because ONLY Blood elves can be paladins on the Horde side.
Honestly, in PvP Hunters have always given me more problems than Paladins. While I have been very frustrated with Paladins before, thanks to their "I can't be hurt" shield. More hunters have killed me than paladins.

The Paladin is a very slow leveling character personally. If I was to recommend a class, it would be hunter. They are good in pvp, and cal level fairly fast. It will definitely keep your attention.

Go with the hunter. I love hunters and played them all the time back when I played WOW. I had a 70, 19 semi-twink, and lots of other various levels. With my semi-twink that had little to no ownage gear, I topped out constantly, in the top 5 against premades. They are really, really fun and easy at every levels and I really enjoyed playing them.
Pallys are versatile, however they are slow and somewhat boring.
Happy playing :) Don't get too addicted lol that why I had to quit...played wayyy too much and realized the only way to stop was to cancel the account :-/
Have fun!

I would choose the hunter 'cause they have long-range stuff, level easy, can have pets to fight with 'em, oh but unfortunately can only wear cloth & leather. generally i'd pick hunter

all depends, if your playing on private servers, pally, if not, and your on retail, hunter. reason is that on private hunters are 9/10 SERIOUSLY bugged, pets, skills, and are limited to certain weps, pallys are better on private, this is so due to their skills, plate armor, a multitude of weapons they can use, many reasons
