yes, it's also called a "thorn spider"

I couldn't find any reference to cathead spider but there is a photo of a thorn spider, just yahoo "thorn spider"

some people refer to them as 'cat-faced' spiders or even 'cat spiders.' They are from the family Araneidae. Check out:
