First of all, there is no anti virus program in the world that can protect you from everything.
Second, when it comes to your PC protection, try to stay away from anything free. I've used different kinds of these programs and they are not as good as the paid one. One of the reasons is that free programs don't have an on-line support, which the paid ones usually have and which can help you to solve a lot of individual problems.
Third, to protect your PC, you'd need not one but at least three programs: an anti-virus, an anti spyware and a firewall. If you need some of the best software out there, then use:
*Kaspersky anti-virus ( http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner ),
*True Sword, which is the best program you need to protect your PC from spyware (http://www.securitystronghold.com/true_sword.html )
*Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro (www.agnitum.com).
These three things are the best programs you need.
Good Luck!!!

AntiVIr,Avast,AVG - virus(i use avast as it can detect virus & spyware)
Spybot S&D + Ad-Aware -spyware
Zone Alarm - firewall
but if you really want better protection, you should buy kaspersky or norton. you should no save when it come for your security.
The best advice that i can give are don't surfing to website that you don't know, don't surf PORN(Site of spyware, trojan and virus),don't download or open attachment that you don't trust and update your security software.
The link you are accessing has been blocked by the Barracuda Web Filter because it contains spyware. The name of the spyware is: Spyware.Rogue.TrueSword
when i'm about to surf to http://www.securitystronghold.com, my browser replied this to me. be carefull when give some information to other.
