Because Moses showed that the God of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob was stronger than the Egyptian gods whose serpents were eaten by Moses serpent from his staff. He thought he would make God do more miracles such as not giving the Israelites straw to make bricks and not lose an iota of production daily

it was straw - though there is no record of there ever having been a large number of Israelites ever living in Egypt - so like so many other Bible stories - there is no historical proof that events written therein actually took place as told.

a kiln? cement? shrink wrap? palletts? a flat bed truck with a crane? health and safety data sheets on lifting bricks corectly? an entry in yellow pages?
