How do you make a vitrual map?

I have this project due on Wednesday, we've read a story by Edgar Poe. The story involves amontillados and catacombs and such, but anyways. We are to make a virtual map of the catacomb with 10 traps, but first of all i don't know how to make a virtual map, can someone please tell me?

Virtual just means not a real map, and make it in the computer.

Just bring up your paint program and draw one
