I'm the one coming home to Philippines for Christmas, me and my family, coming from Japan.

I don't expect any gifts, just expect to have nice, relaxing time!

I hope to bring back a ton of pictures, videos, and memories of a great holiday season spent in the Philippines.

All of my siblings and my mom live in another country. This year, only one brother and his family (wife and one daughter) will be spending Christmas with us.

From my wife's family, we expect about 30 to join us for the noche buena. It has become a tradition that they all go to us and we host this family gathering. I negotiate with makers of puto bumbong and bibingka to bring their kariton and cook right during our party, so my guests feel like they are buying from the stalls around the church, complete with "tsaa".

My wife and I do not expect any gift from them, just their presence. But inevitably, we get gifts from all of them as "thank you" for hosting this traditional clan noche buena.
