Sounds like the element. This is fairly quick and easy to replace, and should be much cheaper than a new oven.
Phone your local domestic repliance repair shop and give them the make and model of your oven- they wil be able to tell you if a replacement is available, and give you a quote in advance. That way you can make an informeed choice.

Does it have a heating element that you can see? It looks like a very thick wire, or thin tubing, and glows red at high temperature? If so, check it to see if it looks 'broken'. It sounds to me like the element burned through, which can happen if it gets grease on it. It overheats and the metal actually burns right through. You would have to get the heating element replaced, and if it's an oven more than five years old, it may be better to just buy a new oven.

If the fan is working it isn't the fuse. If it's the thermostat, it won't control the heat. It's more likely to be the heater element that has gone. It depends on how old the cooker is to determine a new one. Get a quote first but make sure they DON'T CHARGE for a QUOTATION or CALL OUT. Don't buy a cheap one either, they make their profits on the spares......very expensive.
