commuting at peak time, it takes 1 hour to go 580 E, 880S and 237E, unless you take carpool lane.

What are you meaning 5 canyon? castro valley area, there are crow canyon, norris canyon, redwood canyon, in fremont, there is niles canyon and morrison canyon, there are not too many houses for sale in those ranch area.

An hour a day each way is a big toll on your life. Consider buying close to work and visit on the weekends.
