Its horrible man im only an hour away from malibu. The sky where i live turned orange around noon. And smelled like burning wood. Ashes started falling not alot, kind of like a drizzle of it. I was at school and it was lunch when it happened. Everyone started going into buildings because of people coughing. My lungs were burning. Then they ended lunch early and canceled all sports after school.

Im passing time by sating in my house watching t.v., going online. Dont want to go out smells bad outside. Im just praying the fire dosent come close by. Well maybe to burn down my school lol jk. But yea they have told us if we want to evacuate not mandatory but its if we feel like.

I'm no where near the fires but I can still see the smoke thats pretty much visible all over southern cali, and theres an odd ashy smell in the air theres just too many fires going on because it hasn't rained in a long time everything is so dry and its also very windy around this time of the year.

Well, I don't have school tomorrow (I'm in HS), so I guess I'll be finishing up a project with my project partner. Somehow it just won't feel right hanging out with my friends while houses a few minutes away are burning down, you know what I mean? I try not to go outside, either, because there's so much ash and dust that it seems like the clouds have really bad dandruff.

It's really gross outside, I'm waiting to pick up my husband from the train from downtown Los Angeles. My sister lives in Running Springs with her family and had to evacuate (the second time since they moved there). My bathroom looks like a sandstorm blew through it because I forgot to close the window and it was just cleaned!

Maybe I'll just stay at work so I won't have to go outside, unless some idiot decides to leave another pipe bomb in the parking garage of my office building, like what happened on Saturday.

And the question demonstrates why many believe California should be divided into two states. I'm in northern California. We had a bad fire in this county about 5 years ago and Comcast brought in Digital Cable in the aftermath, so it wouldn't lose the "market" to Dish TV and similar.

This season: no major fires, no mud slides, no damaging tremors.

I am not in Cali but we are praying for those of you who are. I live in Phoenix Arizona and the fires have even effected us. My allergies are horrible today and the traffic is unbareable all over town. I can not even imagine what it is like for those caught there. I know we are sending 200 firefighters plus equipment out to cali. Good luck everyone and we will keep praying.

we are doing the best we can to stay inside because the fire ashes are spreading all around. the fire smoke is polluting our air and kids at school can barely breathe. many schools and towns are reported to evacuate and move to some other safe location for the meantime.

I'm staying at home with all of the windows and doors closed and listening to the local news broadcasts. The air is absolutely horrible and ash is dusting the entire neighborhood.
