They say to pee after sex to help avoid uti's. But I find that every time I pee afterwards, I usually end up getting one. So I don't. I wait till later. I would say discuss this with your doctor and take cranberry pills to help avoid them.

Hi there. I am prone to these. I have pretty muched learned to prevent these that you need to urinate just before sexual intercourse and right after sexual intercourse. You have a certain amount of bacteria in your urethra that can get pushed into your bladder during sexual intercourse and so you want to urinate beforehand to be sure that the bacteria does not get pushed into there. You also want to urinate again afterwards because there is a certain amount of bacteria on him that can get pushed into your urethra. So, it is all about keeping the urinary tract flushed out. Like said I am prone to them and by simply urinating before and after intercourse I have not had one in 5 years. Knock on wood. Also when i have had one I take 2 cranberry pills twice a day and it usually knocks it out in a day or two. I also drink a lot of cranberry juice and water as well when I have one.

It happens when germs get pushed up into your urethra. The best way to fix it is you absolutely MUST go pee right after sex. This will wash out the germs. You should ALWAYS pee after sex, otherwise you will almost def get a UTI every timne.

The only way to find out for sure what is causing this is to see your doctor for further evaluation to see what they think is going on.

it could range from as weird as you being allergic to something. I mean are you using protection. I would say go to the gyno and find out whats going on.
