Zipper: Even though you aren't a woman I'm glad you answered---you said a lot of what was already in the back of my mind.

Yeah - I know I'm not a gal... BUT... in keeping with the first question... I had to do a follow up on THIS one... heheh...

Problems that occur due to circumstances are what either draw a couple together or drive them apart. My folks talk fondly of the "good ole days" when all they had for the next 3 days were two potatoes and a can of soup, but they smile now, because they were in it "together" and came out the other side stronger for the experience.
Golden boys for the most part, don't experience much hardship in circumstances from what I've seen, and when hard times come.... there is a crumbling effect. I'm a firm believer that adversity builds character. Hope that says enough without getting too much into the stereotypes and generalizations.

so... IF I was a gal... no.. I would not marry a "golden boy". and yeah... it almost smacks of mamma's boy.

When I hear "golden boy," I think of Spencer Pratt — and only one nut on this planet would ever marry a guy like him.

I wouldn't marry one. That's because his parents have unrealistically high expectations for him and no matter what woman he chooses, she will never be good enough for them. The only way they will be pleased is if they get to choose the woman he marries.
