People who only want something from you, and you never ask anything of them,, is not a relationship that is worth the effort. This is called "being used". And if you feel that you are being used you shouldn't waste your time or energy! Life is too short! That is what caller ID is for!!! Don't answer the phone and move on!! Best of luck!!

Those relationships work two ways. They are good to have in case you need a favor. It seems odd when you're young, but when you get older, using those connections for networking and other things is a good thing. Also, as you get older and change you might find yourself closer to those people than some of your best friends. I have people I've kept in touch with (barely) from elementary school, but now I find I have a lot more in common with them and can hang out with them as friends, like if I see them out at a bar, I'm just happy to see them and catch up. I guess that's because people grow up a lot after high school and labels don't matter any more.

Nothing, no good to you, they are just taking advantage of you because you are willing to help them. Next time they ask you form something say something like "No, sorry man, im not going to be able to do that right now" or the likes of that.

If they only want u 4 what u have, they arent even aquaintances. They are freeloaders. Aquaintances r ppl who u talk to when u r around and u get along with but u aren't actually friends with.

sometimes its good to have these acquaintenes for the simple reason of them returning you a favor. It's human nature to ask someone for a favor even though its not your best friend. Dont get upset, but remember that you dont need to do anything for them if you dont want to.

I have a billion of these kinda or friendships. IT sucks. YOU, meaning YOURSELF, has to activate these friendships. I have friends that just wave at me as i pass by, and nothing more....then when they want something they act like ive knwon them forever....so yeah. I dont know what to do. Just keep it the way it is. As long as ur not getting hurt in anyway

Some things that are good about it is: when you need to talk to some1 at least 1 of them will be willing to listen. Some of them will become your friends at some point. But to do that you have to close that distance and try and learn more about them.

Those aren't even acquaintances. Acquaintances can become your friend if you want them to. They're just people who you know...and not very nice ones by the sound of it.

Take the energy that you would otherwise spend on these people and spend it on your real friends instead (you know who they are).
Real friends deserve your loyalty, fake friends should be lucky to receive your tolerance.

They suck, but when you need something, you can call them up. You need people like that if you want to get anywhere in life.
