Duncan Hunter has this vision of rights under the Constitution and his ideas regarding the fair play for trade, since they did the whole boston tea party thing,

I don't know, its a stretch, but I think Duncan Hunter is probably the most interesting.

His idea of increasing tarriffs in order to take advantadge of some of the 800 billion trade defeceit to fund the budget defeicet and save social security and fund the wars in the middle east,

To an extent, I'd be all about the guy if it weren't for his stance on water boarding.

Perhaps it is because of his torture stance the founding fathers would not be for Mr. Hunter, since they seem to have been gentlemen with respect to prisoners of war.

Maybe I'm wrong and haven't studied that part of American history enough.

Here is his website,

And theres a lot of his train of thought with respect to what the intentions were of the founding fathers.

Incidently I agree with him regarding hate crime legislation but disagree on the pro-life.

Shame I can't find anyone whose a fiscal conservative, social liberal, and military conservative who'd follow the Powell Doctrine, cause this guy's ideas on trade are really what I feel are neccessary in the modern age.

Off topic did you know America's # 1 trading partner is Canada?

Depends on which founding father you're referring to. For example Thomas Jefferson was a pretty strict Constitutionalist. He'd likely vote for the one who would uphold the Constitution.

Though I myself am not a supporter of his, Ron Paul would probably be the closest fit with the founding fathers' belief in small govenment.

The Founding Fathers, if they did not run in horror at what we have done to the wonderful country that they worked so hard to initiate, would most likely vote for Fred Thompson. God Bless you.

The founding fathers would keel over if they knew what a freaking mess our government was.

Hamilton would support Duncan Hunter, because of his policies on trade, sovereignty, and his support of manufactures.

They would have shot Hillary or sent her back to the kitchen where women belonged, they would send Obama back to the plantation, Chastised Giuliani for his multiple marriages, they would have voted for one of the republicans, probably Duncan Hunter, Romney, or McCain may have gotten some play.

Without a doubt, Mitt Romney. The only candidate that still holds to the basic philosophies, beliefs and values that this government and country were built on.
