This is the best name ever and 'Kayleigh' is definitely the best way to spell it, not that i'm a little biased or anything... haha
Everyone's always telling me what a beautiful name i have.. all the time i get, " How do you spell that?" then i tell them and they say "Ooh, that's pretty!" :D
I was always told that it meant Gaelic Princess, but it also means Life of the Party in Gaelic. It's a verryy Irish name, and Kayleigh is a very Irish way to spell it. Good luck with everything, hope you make the right choice ;]
P.s. it's wicked fun to write too, the k-a-y flows nicely into the l-e-i-g-h

I like it spelled Kaylee or Kaylie. Kayley just doesn't look cute with 2 Y's. Kayleigh is too long.

My sisters name is Kayleigh. My mother was told it meant Irish Princess, now I look it up in books and find it might mean open... I obviously have a preference for this spelling. It really isn't that difficult. It looks beautiful and elegant.
There is also a song called Kayleigh by an Irish group called Marillion if you are interested.
Also also her middle name is Dawn.
Good Luck and Ccongratulations!

That's a beautiful name! (One of my best friends daughters name is Zaylee.) I would spell it Kaylee, only b/c if I didn't know how it was spelled, this is how I would write it. I think most people would and wouldn't mess it up as often.

It's best avoided. There are a bajillion Kaylas, Kayleighs, Katees and Kaycees out there right now. None of the names are very sophisticated or give a child much to grow into, and all of them will be horribly dated in a decade.
If you really love it, though, consider naming your daughter Katherine Lee, and nicknaming her Kaylee. It's a much better formal name that allows her to outgrow her little girl Kaylee name along with her princess dresses and pink unicorn bedding.
