Nice name but I am pretty sure there is a "traditional" spelling to Briana. You should spell it "the right way" so that your little one doesn't grow up always having her name spelled wrong or mispronounced. I have a "made up" name that is really close to a real one (one letter away from Viola) and no one ever gets it right. It has caused problems for me in school and professionally and, at 35, I still wish I had a unique but "real" name.

I was never a huge fan of Briana, but in any case, I do think it is rather overused and tired.
What about Bryony - a classic with tons of history, and far more unusual. There's also Bronwyn, Bianca and Brenna.

I personally don't like the name that much but I think if you really have your heart set on it you should go with it, but maybe try Brianna, it looks more neat and classy.
Remember there are a lot of cute names for the name Nicole.
Good Luck!
