I think you view things in a different light at 40, All of a sudden the minor things don't matter. You are more likely to just go and do which makes it seem like a new beginning. It's part of the mid life thing too. Mine started at 38 but now I'm 44 and I see how I view things different. Good Luck

Life, in this sense, begins when you want it to begin...at whatever age you choose to begin living and having fun and following a path you find meaningful and productive for you.
I'm 42 and I've been living for a very long time...even the bad times taught me valuable lessons. Anyone who feels they aren't living their life, is making a choice not to.

No at least not how you might think. Old friends often are distant and have lives of their own. I must say that sex with my wife is better at 40 than 25. We get over our nervousness and inhibitions. and practice makes perfect.
