The ducati 999, hands down. Handles as if your are on rails with decent to great power, too bad they cost an arm and a leg and that they require endless amounts of maintence.

For style, I happen to like the Honda CL350 Scramblers from the 1970s. I'm not sure why. They just look cool. Other favorites:
1. I once saw a custom bike powered by a Ford flathead V8. Looked like something out of a 1930s comic book.
2. Royal Enfield Bullet, probably the classic version with minimal chrome.
3. Harley's Night Rod - my favorite styling exercise at modernizing a bike.

Ask you buddy what's the farthest he has ever ridden a chopper. on your use, a chopper is the greater serious determination you would be able to desire to probable make. i'd look at a activity traveling machines. look a methods a gadget that has a fairing, windshield, a minimum of saddlebags, upright seating place, and a minimum of a 600cc engine. I surely have heard and seen stable comments on the Suzuki DL-650 or 1000 V-Stroms. Bullet data engines, a great number of usable upload-ons, and on the DL-650, obtainable ABS brakes. The 650 gets stable gasoline mileage. Many riders experience insanely long distances on those machines. yet another gadget to check out is the Honda ST-1100. there are a number of riders that choose the ST-1100 to the contemporary ST-1300. take a glance on the debate board shown under.

Based on style alone? No other factors like driveability, practicality, usefulness or any of that? Okay, any of the American made chopper-style bikes like Big Dog, American Ironhorse, etc. I'd p*ss myself to own one, but it would sit in the garage 90% of the time while I was out on my Nomad...K ;o)

Although I've never owned or even ridden one, I really dig the look of the Honda Rune. It resembles some 1950's era art deco styled diesel locomotive.
Way way way outta my price range though.
