and the 4.5 billion year history of the planet keep showing up on the Discovery, Science, History, Animal Planet, National Geographic, and Smithsonian Channels?
Libs can't be the only ones who enjoy these edutainment channels.
Do you think it is all one big tin foil hat liberal conspiracy?

sura,
I watched the little Ice age documentary. At the end, all the scientists warned us about continued man made global warming. They were all believers.
See just because rabbits have been dying of natural causes for a long time, does not mean the rabbit you killed with a rifle also died of natural causes.
Scientists have looked at the data and concluded that what we are experiencing is not a natural cycle.

I wonder how you can back up your claim that scientists have concluded that current climate change is not part of a natural cycle. Your question is strangely void of detail in that regard.

You missed a few-- :)
> the 14 billion year old age of the universe
>carbon-14 dating of human and other fossils over 6000 years old
It's all a big liberal conspiracy--all those hundreds of thousand s of scientists, all those liberals--they're all init together!
Don't psychiatrists call this "paranoia?"
Oh--I forgot--psychoanalysis is an atheist liberal plot too!
BTW--some of them are saying the same thing about space travel--that it's "against god's will." Still haven't figured that one out! Any guesses?
Seriously--most of the "cons" are from relative insular communities with little social contact with the wider society. And, while a lot are actually decent people, their "input" consists mostly of what they hear at fundamentalsist churches or stuff like Rush Limbaugh. Consequently, most of them don't realize how small a slice of the Amrican population they are. Put another way--to them "liberals and scientists" (at least what they call liberal--many of the people they term liberal are actually rather conservative) are just a few people "out there." They honestly don't realize that's the norm and that they are the ones on the fringes of society.
Which isnot the case for the special interests and their leaders who manipulate them, of course--thoseknow exactly what's going on.

Cons will just label anything that they don't like as "liberal bias", that way they never have to face an issue. It really is a CONversation stopper when somebody says that everything you believe is a lie, but they refuse to explain why or how it's biased. Rush and Fox News have convinced these children that nobody can be trusted, except Rush and Fox News.
Cons don't believe in facts. Ever have a rational discussion with a Con? Me neither. You can't bring up facts or evidence around them because as soon as they know you've got them beat, they go to their "Ace in the Hole" and just accuse all of your sources of being "liberal bias", while claiming their only sources, Fox News or AM Right Wing Christian radio are not bias.
These people are the worst the US has to offer. They're ignorant, racist, homophobic, uneducated and support dishonestly and corruption as methods of governing the country. Again, the worst our country has to offer.

Many conservatives watch them too (Science, Education, etc. used to not be considered liberal). But some of the answerers on here...
Remember, modern liberalism was a revolt against convention ,which is what Science is based on. The Scientific Method has not changed, and most likely will not change for a long time. But over time, things have changed.

It wouldn't be such a poltical issue if the head spokesman wasn't a politician.
One has to wonder that if it were a Conservative who was a spokesman for Global Warming, would the liberals then deny it while the Conservatives embrace it?

Edutainment...LoL...It's called a dumbing down of science so that the morons out there who find it "nerdy" will actually learn something.
Thank G_d for the people who actually give a s_it about this planet.
Edit : Bert, they don't realize oil is carbonized dinosaur and sea-life remains...They simply think that Jesus put a giant well of "happy energy giving Goodness-fluid" on Earth for us all to burn. They don't think that deep. They can't. They don't want to.

I love how folks like you rope off an entire segment of the population as though they all believe and behave the same way and then pretend to be open minded.
I'm a 'con' and watch every one of those channels. What I take away from it and you apparently do not, is the fact that these are theories and they make me think rather than facts to be accepted without question.
And I bet you really think of yourself as an open minded intellectual don't you?

If they believe the earth is only 5,000 years old, they must believe new oil is being formed. Maybe that's why they're not worried that the world is running out.

I saw that and failed to see "all" scientists on that program. Sure they had 4 or 5 but I hope we have more than that in the world.

I just wanna know how they can burn "fossil fuels" when their faith decrees there never could have been dinosaurs (they're part of that pesky "Evolution" theory).
