in a senior, and i have to write my own personal declaration of independence. i cant think of anything because i dont want to change anything.. my life is great.. this is annoying..

Declare yourself independent from all stupid homework assignments that don't make a lick of sense first thing and then the rest will be taken care of.

Why do you think the things you declare have to be 'real?'
Basically, how is your teacher going to know? She isn't your best friend or your mom, so she has no idea what is going on in your life and if you're telling the truth or not.
Make something up that seems to be relevant to seniors in high school. Say something about colleges, parents, peers and peer pressure - whatever!

You could start off with something like:
"I such and such in order to be a better a person and protect my rights as a US citizen hereby declare these truths to be self evident and not negotiable"
Then you go by saying things like:
1. Nobody shall enter my bedroom without my permission.
2. I have the right to three decent meals a day.
3. I have the right to say what's on my mind.
4. I have the right to carry a stick should there be a vicious dog down the road etc, etc.

This is not about your life being great or not, that has nothing to do with this. This also has nothing to do with the real declaration, its your own PERSONAL declaration. Just do your homework, or is your imagination that lifeless.

Sometimes the best things to write is just what you said the truth, Just like our fore farthers "we hold these self truth to be ...", When writing somthing like this just get as many quick ideas down in three minutes as fast as you can then go back and write three examples of each of the three things.

How about a declaration to safety in the school???
Four score and seven years ago. In order to make safer schools. Our fore fathers brought us freedom to be fearfree in our schools.... Hope it helps!

Write down things that you want. Rights you really dont have and want like the way you dress.
