I have this Burberry quilted jacket that I no longer wear. I'm wondering if it would be weird to make a messenger style purse out of the fabric? I am in the middle of saving up for a new bag (major purchase) and am currently selling my previous bag on eBay. In all likelyhood, it will take me all winter to save up for the new bag, and I don't want to buy some super-cheap thing to get through the winter. Should I make one out of the Burberry jacket or would that be really tacky?

then you can save up your money for something else!

I would go with the Burberry jacket because a Coach bag can't keep you warm! ^^

its not tacky at all! it sounds cute!! and if you dont wear the jacket anymore, why not? better than having it collect dust in a closet. it would be very unique and what could go wrong? ive seen some pretty bad bags (such as ones made out of cheap duct tape or like beads and feathers) and it couldnt turn out as bad as that

i think that would be tacky,.. well somewhat. it would be weird because the bag wouldn't be consider authentic even if the jacket was authentic. it's worth the wait for the bag you want.
