the formula we're using for finding the percent of water is mass of water divided by mass of hydrate then multiplied by 100. i need two reasons why this cant be used for all hydrates

I can't answer your question, and, even if I could, I wouldn't, because you need to do it on your own. After all, this isn't rocket science, ya know . . . oh, wait . . . yes it is!!! ;)

I will state 2 reasons why you need to do this yourself. One, this is homework HELP not we'll do your assignment for you and two, don't be so lazy and spoiled, doesn't work here.
