or a conservative country like Saudi Arabia or Iraq where gays get lashed, tortured, mutilated, and even stoned to death?

I'm reminded of that Borat movie, where he talks to some old guy from the rodea. Borat tells him, he's not a muslim. That in his country they worship the hawk and that he's not gay either. That in his country they put them to jail and finish them off.

The rodeo guy was like that's what we need to do here also.

I don't approve of torture -- and I don't approve of govts punishing people for consenting actions that don't affect anyone else -- and I do approve of people being able to express their opinions.

So, I would want to live in a country that respects the freedom to live your own lives and to have parades if you want -- and not the country that punishes and tortures people for being unpopular.

When people march peacefully and don't harm anyone let them march. If that is how they get their jollies let them go for it. Someitmes their parade can be quite amusing and interesting. At least in America they have the right to free assembly. In some countries just to infer someone is gay gets someone in big trouble even if no one is harming anyone else. You give the example of Saudi Arabia but it happens in other countries. Even in the US gay men are tied to a fence and allowed to die simply because they are gay. It kind of reminds one of KKK activities of days gone by or the Nazi Brownshirts. Fortunately most people are mature enough to leave other people alone unless they actually do something to them.

The purpose of satisfaction parades under no circumstances has been to tutor others that "we are only like anybody else." It develop into and has continually been approximately self-help. The blatant sexuality does make me balk, however the very reason we are discriminated against is precisely a sexual distinction to start with. I understand the place you're coming from, and an evolution interior the assumption in the back of satisfaction is so as, and albeit is occurring. satisfaction purposes (different than the parades) are a lot decrease-key than they was once and aimed in direction of households (usually).

I am not against gays. I believe they were born that way so why should anyone be against them. I am against the gay pride parade in San Fran and I think most gays should be too.
Showing bare butts, porn, and sex in the streets is wrong and I wouldn't be for the heterosexuals doing it either! They look more like perverts than a person that wants to be accepted in society.

Between those two choices, liberal. I still don't see the point in the parade though.

We luckily live in a free nation were groups of people can celebrate, or protest, in the way they choose.

While I am anti gay, that isn't much of a choice. I don't think they should be killed.
