It doesn't seem to deter those brainless yanks from hi-jacking questions that couldn't possibly construed as pertaining to America..............now it seems as if those arsewipes are hell bent on starting WW3

I've come to the conclusion that the majority of our american "friends" have no sense of humour and especially can't laugh at themselves.
I was a bit naughty answering one yank's question the other day & was immediately sent a REALLY poisonous email!
Funnily enough - although he picked someone who smarmed up to him as best answer - I got 6 thumbs up - presumably not from any americans though!

Well - really - he shouldn't have ASKED a question of the Brits if he wasn't ready for an honest answer!!!

PAM - Yes, true, we did help those Brits during WW2. Of course, come the end of that war in 1945 we presented them with the invoice for our help. It was so massive that the Brits only managed to finish repaying it last year.

The only thing worse than out of section interference is a totally irrelevant answer to a perfectly logical question like yours. Have you tried tightening the jubilee clips on the air intake valve and then restarting suction pump? (Was Alf Tupper the guy who ran marathons and only ate bags of chips for sustenance of am I slightly askew, please inform)

From an American!!!
Who cares .......you are not a bit shy about expressing your opinions of us, here, in your newspapers, or any place someone might listen. Why wouldn't you expect the favour to be returned? It doesn't matter what nationality you are, there are always some people who will be happy to tell you how you are doing it wrong. Why should we be any more evolved than you are?

ummmm... just a LITTLE bit bigoted?

Don't you think your approach will actually bring out MORE of the frothing-at-the-mouth rightwingers who currently control my homeland?

Here's a novel approach -- argue with them!

Or is your objection that they're American, and not that they're right-wing fools? I would think that someone who calls himself a working class hero would have a better attitude, and be more of an internationalist.

And Hedgewitch? NO empire on its way out has a sense of humor about it. Think of your countrymen, around, say, circa 1950. How well did they laugh at themselves? That's where Americans are today - and we don't even have any socialist parties to explain to us what's going on.

By the way, I would heartily recommend that y'all stop trying to tap-dance down the middle of the Atlantic -- if you don't integrate with the EU and get a federal military capable of defending you, how long do you think it will be before the right-wingers in my homeland attack YOU?

Fair enough, Maryjel, you're not more evolved. But I did expect better from someone with "working class" in his name. And you are holding ME responsible for what right-wing idiots say because I happened to pop out of my mother on the same continent as them? Hardly fair, is it? Should I hold YOU responsible for the BNP?

This has been very entertaining, and thanks for the points!

And unlike someone here, _I_ have given no one a thumbs down except the idiot who thinks nuclear bombing is the answer - he reminds me of George Bush. And Alf gets himself a star.

Boss, I'm not allies with either Wall Street OR the City. And that's who runs our countries.

Workers in the UK are MY allies. Our enemies are the same - and our solutions will be the same - socialism. And not the one-cheek version of the "Labour" Party, either.
