No. Fires like this happen here. We have very strong, dry, hot wind conditions coming from the desert in the East. Power lines blow down or spark when they hit one another and start these fires when we get wind gusts of 50-75mph, which we've had. Yes, in the past we've had some fires that appeared to be caused by arson. But, not the San Diego fires. This is just a convergence of fuel, wind, and sparks.

Here are the possibilities:
1...Saddam Hussain's ghost made the fire with his WMD.
2...Bin Laden crashed the planes to the trees.
3...Suicide bombers attacked ghetto forests of California to kill the yids and kikes living there.
4...Hitler's ghost is back to make another Holocaust.
5...Ahmadinejad's misguided nuclear missiles hit California forests instead of Columbia University.
6...Arnold Schwarzenegger is playing another Terminator.
7...The Dems, who had earlier caused Hurricane Katrina, made the fire to show the Republicans are losers.

But the most probable cause is:
Carfornia wetbacks didn't put out the fire after they had a barbecue.

While some fires do get deliberately set, brush fires are a natural occurance in that part of the world. Fires help the plants with their seeding and clear out undergrowth. The problem occurs when people build their homes on steep hillsides that are covered with dried out chapparel. Don't they realize that they are actually building on what is the equivalent of a lake of gasoline? These plants are very flammable, especially in the summer and fall when they dry out.

Good question. We don't see massive fires in Mexico right now, multiple fires broke out over a widespread area almost simultaneously, and a detainee spoke recently of a "set forest fires" strategy. My gut says YES. We'll all know soon enough.
