Sometimes being overweight does effect the cyles. Try to lose some weight by cutting out soda and sugary drinks and have 8 cups of water a day. Thats the best way to lose weight along with excercise and a good diet.

Usually your cycle can be affected by stress, weight, and other such factors. I suppose you already know the answer, but I'd say trying to get back to a safe weight and try lowering the stress from school..

Eat right, stay active, positive mind, be healthy. =)

you should really go and see a dotor!, gaining an excessive amount of weight in a short period of time can cause alot of harm to your body. your doctor will tell you you need to lose weight because its not healthy. your probli missing your periods because your body thinks something is up because of all the weight gain. i would call the doctor right away!

well, significant and rapid weight gain can be a trigger to abnormal cycles. you should definately make an appointment, the pill may or may not be a good idea, for now, you need to make sure that you are eating right and exercising and try to lose the excess weight you are carrying..

It sounds like you might have a hormone imbalance going on. The only way to find out for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
