Perhaps there is a good reason?

I get what you're saying. I'm English, and I think by worried you mean that some Americans and Canadians get really excited when the Queen visits or collect things to do with the royal family. I think its because that the Royal families so steeped in tradition and they just want to share in English history. The Royals of the past are pretty interesting and I suppose the current ones are to.

Americans worried about the Queen? Maybe because many of them have English/Scots roots. Other than that, there is no relationship as the U.S.A. is a republic, that is, has no royal ties.

As for Canadians, which I will soon become, we are considered subjects of the Queen, even though we are an independent country. She is the head of state, and all new Canadians take an oath to be loyal and protect the Queen and her descendants.

I would not use the word 'worried' - I would have phrased the question as 'What is the relationship of Queen Elizabeth II to Canadians and Americans'

We're not. At least, Americans aren't - I can't speak for Canadians.

(And FYI - there is no such person as the Queen of England. The last person to hold that title was Queen Anne, who reigned from 1702-1714. The current title is Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.)

I am not worried about The Queen;I find her very interesting. We don't have Royals in the U.S. so it's educational as well as entertaining to learn about other countries(or, for me it is).
