What DART route should I take?

Question

I need to get from Maple Avenue (at a point near the intersection with Mockingbird) to the closest grocery store...I think there's an Albertson's uptown at 3524 McKinney

I tried looking at the DART website, but it's very confusing and I don't even know exactly what type of shuttle/route I'm supposed to take. I just moved to the city very recently.

Can anyone help me figure out how to do this? I don't have a car and I'm in desperate need of groceries.

The closest grocery stores are on Cedar Springs - A Kroger near Wycliff.
You could take the 29 to Wycliffe and walk across.

Albertsons:
DART suggests you take the 29 to near downtown at McKinney & Pearl and take the McKinney Trolley up to the Albertsons.
You didn't pick a great location for groceries, but see this page

You can walk a block west and catch the 409

which will also take you down Maple, but more importantly, when it turns from Oak Lawn to Blackburn, you are a block from

when Blackburn crosses McKinney, you are about 2 blocks from the Albertsons and if you go further about 4 blocks out Live Oak is.

If you get off the 409 on Blackburn before City Place and catch the 36, about 10 blocks along facing North Central is a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market - which is essentually a grocery store, not a Wal-Mart. To get out, you will have to catch the next 36 and go downtown to catch the 29 out.
