That depends on whether you have a septic system or are connected to the sewer line. If you have a septic tank, it goes into the tank where it is broken down by bateria. If you are hooked to a sewer it goes through miles of pipe to the treatment plant. At the plant the same process takes place as it does in your tank. It is broken down, sanitized, and used for fertilizer.
