Does soap burn what?
Your eyes? Yes, if it gets in them.
Does soap literally burn? I don't think it will.

Because soap is slightly basic (it has a pH of over 7), it can 'burn' your skin. This will only happen if it is already irritated, such as a previous burn, scrape, or cut. Soap's job is to remove the outer, dead layer of skin, and it does it by dissolving the lipids in the dead cells.

idk..but it can float...and i saw this vid on youtube where water was burning..soooo if water can, then soap probably does too
