I don't believe the Indians have a recognized team captain. To the best of my knowledge, there are only 4 teams in MLB that have team captains:
Yankees - Jeter
Red Sox - Varitek
Royals - Sweeney
White Sox - Konerko
This list may be down to 3 if the Royals don't resign Mike Sweeney this offseason.

i think captains are better off unrecognized
i'm not sayin that the ones that are recognized are bad or anything but i think leadership should be shown through example and i also think a leader should be one who doesn't want the spotlight . just wants the best for his team and works really hard
so i don't know who the captain is maybe a veteran perhaps?

At this time i really don't care because my team captain is : Mr. Jeter ( NEW YORK YANKEE'S ).
