can i get marry at 13??

ok im 13 and i have a boyfriend whos 13 too., we love each other very much, and we want to get marry not by church but by the chapel, but i live in texas and i wanted to know if i could do this. or because if were under age are parents have to be there? or if they have to sign? but i want to do this behind my moms back. wat should i do???

first of all, you can't legally do this. secondly, you might think you want to now but in ten years you probably won't even remember this guy's name. well, that might be exagerating but you won't remember why you liked him. focus on things other than him, like your friends, hobbies, ect. if you are really meant to be and you still love him after high school then think about marriage.

No, legally, you can not get married at 13, even with your parents permission. You would have to wait until you are at least 14, and even then you still need your parent's permission.

Frankly, no one will take marriage seriously at your age. You have the rest of your lives ahead of you - if you're so sure your love will last forever, then what's the harm in waiting until you're both 18? Do you really think you're ready to both move out and live together on your own? Are you ready to drop out of school and start working 40 hours a week?

It's okay to just enjoy having a boyfriend for a few years. Don't rush into sex or marriage yet.

this is a ridiculous question , but it brings up the subject of the USA states allowing marriage before age 18 but yet your not allowed to drink in a pub until your 21 , wow and the americans claim the rest of the world is f/d up.

How do you plan to rent an apartment or a house ? and are you and your husband going to ride to work on your BMX's? , how will you get electricity / gas / phone / internet connected ? you have to be 18 to do all of that?

How will you budget your food buying for the month and pay all your bills on 7 dollars 50 cents an hour? I can just imagine noodles in a cup , packets of chips and bags of sweeties wow what a way to gain 300 pounds so when you divorce at age 19 you'll both be to fat for anyone to want you and seriously are you going to sleep in bunk beds?

I fear your already having sex with this 13 year old fiance , and that scares me , I'm guessing because you hate your mom so much your also trying to fall pregnant to totally ruin your life and ruin the life of your unborn child?

You need parental consent to marry before the age of 18 in TX. Closet thing you can get is Mississippi, where you can marry at 15, but I think the guy might still have to be at least 17. Bad idea though because it is a felony to cross the state line with a minor.

You do not need to legally marry to prove your love for each other. Just share the love you have respectfully.

Why do you want to get married so young? How do you and your 13 yr old groom plan to support one another? You wouldn't be able to work either of you. Your way to young both of you. You might think your so in love with each other then if so you still will be in 5 yrs when your both legal. Wanting to run off behind your moms back and marry shows your immaturity. Wait till you both mature and can legally marry and support one another. Marriage is alot of work and not to be taken lightly.

What about school, you don't want to end up pregnant at 13 or 14 take it from me I had a baby at 19 and a half and that was hard enough please just think about it and your parents would have to sign off on that do you think they would? there is no state in the USA which will allow a 13 yr old to marry.. now in south carolina with parents consent it use to be 15 if they have not changed it .. that was 13 yrs ago...but you should wait until your 18 for such a big step.. if your old enough to marry then your old enough to support your selfish.. why dont you both try to get a job and work for a year to see how it is.. and save for a nice wedding.. that is if you or him can find someone who will hire someone so young

Nope you can't get married, not even with your parents consent. You have to be 16 in order to be married with parental consent in Texas and you have to be 18 without their consent. You can't do this behind their back because it is against the law and you will be caught.
