why does the coyote keep buyin all the acme stuff tryin to kill the roadrunner when he could just buy a meal?

The 'Road Runner/Bugs Bunny Movie' (a rare movie length animated film not made by Disney, from the early 60s) offers an explanation. It seems that each and every part of the Road Runner, including the feathers, is delicious and tastes different than the other parts. For Wily Coyote, the Road Runner is the supreme epicurian delight and is worth any price to obtain.
It's not that the Road Runner wants just a meal, he wants a specific meal.

good question alls i know is have you noticed whenever he tries it out before use on the road runner it works fine but when the road runner comes it doesn't work
