DO you have children? How long have you been married? That all is taken in concideration of who gets what.

First, never let anyone tell you that since things are in his name that you will get nothing. Do not ever settle for that.
Also talk to everyone that has been through a divorce in a situation similar to your own. There are many sites on line that dispense information on what your rights are. If you have the resources, talk to an attorney. Most will grant you a freebie interview before anything goes forward for billing.
After things are finalized, I would suggest that his payments to you go through the courts (if there will be monthly installments.) You don't want to find yourself in a position to be asking him for your payment each month. From what you briefly describe in your question above, he seems like kind of a control freak and would likely use payments to manipulate you to his advantage and your demise.

Unless you signed a pre-nup agreement (or any other agreement) that states differently, then it does not matter that your husband has bought everything or put the house in just his name - these have all been bought with 'marriage monies' and the house is the 'matrimonial home'.
My manipulating and controlling ex did the same thing as yours, made me feel like sh1t by telling me I was in his house using his furniture! Your lawyer should tell you straight that you have just as might right to marital property as he has.

Legally your entitled to 50% wether he replaced your stuff with new thing's or not what ever is bought during the marriage belongs to both parties wether it's in his name or not.
Get to legal aid and ask them for legal advice and representation dont let your husband's need for dominance leave you high and dry.

You are entitled to 1/2 of everything AFTER the date of the marriage...if he or you owned it before the wedding date...you will continue to own it after the wedding date.
