I like it cold if it has proper butter on it. Hot if it's only margerine. I love marmite on toast hot or cold.

I was brought up toasting both sides of bread at an open range fire, then you butter it and eat it warm, first time ever years afterwards in a hotel with my family and I commented to one of my sisters that the toast on the rack was freezing!
She replied that's how they do it in hotels, but recently in a hotel in Edinburgh,Scotland, yes you've guessed it, self serve at breakfast on hotplates with a toaster, some like it hot! It's on the way back in!

Cold for me please...not fussed on hot toast when the butter melts and it goes all soggy.

It has to be cold before you spread anything on it. If it's hot, all the spread just soaks in and leaves the toast all mushy I like crunchy toast!!
