would you recomend and xbox 360.

Yeah I would. It has a solid game library to back it up. The only nuisance that prevents me from getting one is the Red Ring of Death. If microsoft promises me it won't die in the next year or two I will get it

oh yea, i recommend it. its a really cool sysytem. and about the ring of death, micrsoft has put a 3 year warrenty on "ALL" systems that have that problem. if the red ring pops up, call microsoft tell them, register your xbox 360 (if you have the intercooler on it dont tell them, because it actually causes it to mess up sometimes), give them your address. they will send a box for your system (only your system) not your hard drive or n-e thing else. send it to them and they will fix it or send you a new one, ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! they did it for me, so i know from experience, no hidden charges. lol i sound like a seller. but no serious i think its a great system. and might i add, try the NINTENDO WII !!! i freaking love this game. its great for all ages.
