on death note who is raito??? is he like an alias for kira?

Raito is Kira, but Kira is just a nickname for the mass murderer. This can get confusing when he loses his memory(sorry if u havnt read that bit yet). Also, about halfway through, the translation turns from Raito to Light.
Raito is also one other person in Death Note, i dont know about anythiin gelse coz im not finished yet

Got it backwards, man. Kira is the alias. Kira is the person who is killing a bulk of the criminals in the world. Light, also known and pronounced as Raito in the Japanese language, is the founder of Kira, since he was the first with the Death Note. He passes the alias of Kira from place to place. He's the protagonist. Raito means Light in the English language. He's the main character (the one with the cool hair?).

IN the Manga the main character was called Raito but his name was change to light when Death Note be came a anime
Raito and Light are the same person and Kira is the murder, that the people call the mysteries killer based off the English word killer.
