children and education in America ..any help?

i have to do an assignment its more like an article about children and education in america and jobs and popualtion in america,
sicne im not american i have no clue where to start .. can anybody help with Reference ?

As for jobs and population.... well I guess you can say we have illegal immigrants coming here and taking up jobs. Or the fact that a person has a better chance of getting a job IF Spanish is their second language!

I think the generalization that 'schools in America suck' is perhaps irresponsible. Not all do and probably not even half. It is a problem for many kids but not all, not even close.

It depends on how much effort is being put forward by the state/county/school board to create a quality curriculum. I was very conscious about the quality of schools before I bought a house in the city where we live. In fact, it was at the top of the list.

Do you live in America? If so, pick up any newspaper for a really good starting point. Google up education in America, for more leads. If you don't live in America, go to your local library and ask the librarian for access to the Time magazine files. They do special editions on any number of topics: education, jobs and population growth have all been covered in recent years, and will likely be covered again in future years.

yeah well you should use that 20/20 video on youtube about american education....and tell about how its basically just a lie. There is nothing wrong with education in america.
