If you have health problems it is always advisable to see a doctor before. But based on the fact that you have a contraceptive device (the IUD), I would guess that sex would be alright.

In about all cases, yes. Most diabetics, or people with high blood pressure, etc, can have a healthy sexual relationship with zero problems. Just remember that the IUD doesn't protect against STD's, only pregnancy.
