I seem to recall paid Republican staffers causing a riot in one of the government buildings during the recount in Florida back in 2000. Someone should ask them how much they make.

if the cops attack you you can sue and sometimes make some money down the road.
if you are with a large organization as an organizer or a promoter, there are some paying jobs to be had, but they are very few and far between and do not pay as much as most similar non501C3 positions.

protesting is for the most part voluntary, although, it wouldn't surprise me to read a story about some people getting paid to show up
what bothers me? Those who get government grants to prove how 'chigger bugs' are effecting global warming
so many things in politics these days that are beyond the bounds of common sense

You couldn't pay me enough to smell like those "convicted" creatures.
People don't protest for any reason other than to protest. Most issues they are "concerned" with could be solved by them but instead they march and scream for someone else to solve their problems.
