And was it worth the prick? Don't ya just love prickly pears??

i have a prickly pear in my garden!and when one of those thorns get in my fingers....ouch!!!it hurts and it's hard to see them!i usually cut them with a fork and a knife and then carefully cut the outside away!then i put them in the fridge and they are so tasty cold!:)

I sure have, I am origianlly from Tucson, Arizona. The fruit of the prickly pear makes awesome jelly!!

Went out to the Island off the coast at Benidorm Spain...and picked a prickly pear off a cactus....OWWW!..
those things are full of little hair like spines...6 weeks later i was still getting them out of my fingers!

I love prickly pear but prefer strawberries, dipped in Belgian chocolate and savoured.

I climb high into the fuzzy boughs of the fir tree and eat sweet succulent pineapples letting the juice run down my chin like a child.

Never had one, but i think I'll have to try one now, it sounds wonderful. I personally like this fruit (can't remember the name) that's read and you just suck on the seeds to eat the juice and then spit the seeds out and it dyes your mouth red. They seem so simple, since you only eat the juice/ drink. but its great, its a hard to describe feeling.

No, I have not.
I LOVE strawberries! I was so happy when I found out they are actually lower in sugar than many fruits- so now I eat more! I love them with whipped cream.

don't pick a prickly pear with a paw when you pick a pear try to use the claw..but you you don't need to use the paw when you pick a pear of the big paw paw.....
