i need new games and i want final fantasy so what is better?

If you want the best storyline, play FF10.
If you want the best gameplay, play FF12.
Both are available for the PS2.

Final Fantasy 7 is cool, but the graphics are sort of lacking, so i would recommend either that or Final Fantasy 10 (very romantic, but has lots of action aspects)

For the best storyline, 7 is at the top, and 10 is at the close second...
I haven't played the predecessors of 7, but that is what I say...
I judge it by its storyline...
I finished Tactics...and it's quite good...
Sure 7 still has the polygon graphics, but it sure does have some heavy plot...while 10 was quite shocking...and 10 was the first FF game to have voices...
8 and 9...so-so I guess...but for me, 9 has the upper hand...
Never played 11...
And 12 is by far has the worst storyline...it doesn't give me that "goosebumps" which every FF game I've played has always given me...
Besides, with materias and the slots in FF7, there is endless possibilities of the combos you can make...

Final Fantasy VII is best from storyline...
But it quite deep.
If you want to understand you have to play Final fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VII crisis Core, and watch final fantasy VII advent children, for more understanding the storyline play the Final fantasy VII Dirge of cerberus

FINAL FANTASY VII most definitely to the highest power. In terms of everything it is the greatest game ever made. That was the game my father left behind for me, and for which I thank him a lot for this masterpiece.

IMHO
Best Romantic story would have to go to FF8.
Best Gameplay is FF10.
Best Story would have to be FF7.
Most fun would be a tie between FF9 and FF7.
Most serious be FF12... I think FF12 lost a bit of its 'fantasy' right there.
